Double Trim Router Mini Table will Double Your Workflow!

There are times when I jump back and forth between different router bits but it would be SO much faster to have a double trim router table. With two routers in one table I can quickly jump between two router bits in the same table to make my workflow faster.

Design

So that’s what I did! I came up with a simple mini router table design that has an adjustable fence, dust collection and will house two trim routers. Doesn’t matter what brand. Full build video for you to feast your eyes on and as a result you have a reference if you run into issues during your build!

About the Double Trim Router Table

Router table is: 22″ Wide x 14″ Deep x 17″ Tall. You can make it from one 2×4′ sheet of 3/4″ plywood. I do have a few 1/2″ pieces that are part of the dust collection of the fence. Y ou can bypass these to saves some $$.

Build

The double trim router table build is a simple build. After cutting out the parts with a combination of table, bandsaw (or jig saw) and router I drilled some pocket holes. Adding some wood glue I used 1 1/4″ coarse pockets screws to assemble the main parts. Assemble the fence with wood glue and screws.

Several sections of T-Track will allow use of feather boards, jigs, flip stops and other hold downs. Adding the groves for the T-Track can be tricky but take the cuts slow and you should be successful! Final results will be a compact router table that will hold two routers of any make. The mini table will has good dust collection and is very easy to make adjustments to the fence location since the T-Track bolts slide very smoothly.
